Since 2010.

In 2015 Cody Hurley spoke with Mayor Riley of Wilmington, Ohio about a law called "3 Feet Please". This law is to tell motorists that you must give cyclists a minimum of 3 feet when passing, or being behind the cyclist. A State ordinance is already in effect that when you pass a cyclist on the highways or city streets you must treat the cyclist as if he was a slow moving vehicle and or a tractor. Only passing when it is safe to pass. This law how ever will ensure that if a motor vehicle passes a cyclist to close and results in a traffic accident between that motor vehicle or another injuring the cyclist that the driver of the motor vehicle who passed to close causing the accident will be sited for "failure to maintain a safe distance" and could result in a fine up to $120. So please show your support for this law in protecting your loved ones on the road if they cycle to. you may contact us at any time to learn how you can support the campaign for "3 Feet Please" or go to www.3feetplease.com and order all your 3 feet please gear from there. As always stay safe!!!!
